It's people like you who make bike mentoring a success. Whether you want spend time with students, support our events, or host a bike drive, we are excited to hear from you!
Help students discover the joy of bike mechanics and riding. No mechanical experience necessary! We especially need women instructors for our mixed-gender or Girls' Earn a Bike classes.
4 pm - 6 pm one weeknight.
Teach students something of interest to you, arrange a trip, join a bike ride, or simply engage with students.
3 pm - 5:30 pm weekdays.
Drive students to cycling competitions, or help with shopping, snack preparation, or printing and copying. Flexible.

Many organizations and local businesses have held bike drives that allow people to clear out unwanted bikes while helping the students of Community Bike Works. Interested? DownloadCommunity Bike Works schedules regular Saturday bikes rides each spring and summer—more than a dozen each year.
The sponsor of a bike ride--either an individual or a company--provides snacks and beverages for the bike ride attendees at an agreed upon location and time. We generally meet at Community Bike Works at 10 am and return by 2 pm. It's a great opportunity for your company to make a real difference while getting to know the young people in our community!

Serve on a board committee and help Community Bike Works strengthen our organization. Each committee meets as determined by the chair. Time commitment is generally 2-4 hours/month. Committees include: Mileage Challenge, Gala, Fund Development, Marketing, and Facilities.
