Donate a bike:

  • Downtown Allentown: Adonis Cannon, 610.434.1140
  • East Allentown: Hana Cannon, 610.820.9927

We can accept bikes Mondays through Fridays from noon to 4 pm, by appointment only. Call downtown Allentown at 610-434-1140 or East Allentown at 610-820-9927 to make arrangements for drop-off.

We ask that everyone follow these guidelines to keep our community healthy:

* Call before coming to schedule an appointment.
* Please do not bring bikes if you are sick or have a fever.
* Wearing a mask is MANDATORY.
* Once you arrive, staff will open the door and have you bring your bike into the bike shop.
* We'll have plenty of clean pens for you to use to sign the donation log.

Thank you for helping us get kids on bikes!

Bikes donated to Community Bike Works are generally used in our Earn a Bike or Junior Earn a Bike programs—students earn more than 500 bikes per year! Some bikes become part of our fleet kept at each bike shop for recreational rides or our road, mountain bike, or track teams. Other bikes, especially those with frames that are damaged or cracked, are stripped for parts and scrapped--students can learn as much from taking a bike apart as from building one. We also reserve the right to sell donated bikes to support our youth mentoring programs. In this case, students will help inspect and tune up a bike, and we always research a bike to make sure we’re not undervaluing it. Our programs are always offered at no cost to families, and one bike can support a semester of Earn a Bike classes for one or more students!
